Considering the fact that nothing on earth escapes God’s sovereignty, is it tenable to view the fast-emerging Coronara Virus pandemic – which insiders are quietly revealing as pneumonic or bubonic plague – as sanctioned by God? Is it Divine justice kicking in – complete with historical precedent?
Let us start from the premise that we live on a fallen planet. Clearly, our milieu will remain fallen until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. And while this man-made bio-hazard of the 21st century is for de-population – as may be the case in the actual prophesied Tribulation, where many apocalyptic judgments may originate with man’s schemes – could there be Divine reasons as well?
If we take seriously as we should, such Scripture verses as Ecclesiastes’ “There is nothing new under the sun” and “What is it that hath been? the same thing that shall be.
What is it that hath been done? the same that shall be done.” And the New Testament fact that “God is not a respecter of persons,” cannot be overlooked.
In other words, could it be that the Black Death God allowed in 1348, actually contains the same spiritual reasons, for the fast-spreading Black Death of the 21st century? Will the same God who allowed the Flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah,
allow this 21st-century pestilence to sweep the earth?
There is no better time than now to examine Luke 17-26-30:
26 And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built.
29 And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
In the Flood and in Sodom, the same God destroyed them all. But Divine justice does not stop there. It adds, Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
And why does this occur again? Because mankind rejects the compassion of Christ to heal individuals, societies and nations. In effect, mankind – as in the days of Noah and Sodom and now again – rejects Divine infusions of forgiveness and salvation and endlessly-proffered compassion.
This is very serious business, indeed. Vaccinations cannot keep up with a mutating virus. Apparently, God’s intentions do not include the vaccination of sinners, so they may simply continue to sin without repentance. Will repentance globally go full force before this pandemic sweeps the planet? Or will only a remnant of individuals repent and fervently pray for the repentance of others?
It was in 1348 the second half of the “Hail Mary” emerged: “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.” Convinced the justice of God had been decreed – including on an inordinate number of corrupt clergy – good and bad medieval priests and nuns fell like flies.
Those in that category today would include those consumed with greed, pedophiles, and Marxist Liberation-Theology “social justice warriors” who are closet LGBTQ. That is, those whose “calls to action” have been “calls to heresy.”
Medieval faithful clergy and laity felt their only recourse was to summon Mary. As Queen Mother of the Kings of kings, could she not intercede so this scourge would be brought to an end? On the lips of many with the Black Death, “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death,” it was prayed, as victims had up to seven days to live once it was contracted. The “hour of our death” was 2-7 days away.
And so it may be for millions around the world. God is not a respecter of persons, whether medieval or in the 21st century. At the time of this writing, 20 states in America already have the deadly rapidly-spreading Corona Virus – whether or not that is what it intrinsically is – projected to be in all fifty states by next week. Will today’s “Noahs” and “Lots” pray once more, for those under judgment, before another major cataclysm befalls unrepentant mankind?
Indeed, there is still time to humble oneself and reach out for Divine forgiveness….
thank you and may God bless you eternally
