The First Day

A Timely Christian Apologetic to the Divisive and Heretical Final Day by Rick Wiles

In these prophesied perilous times, when Church Remnant Power is found in a non-ecumenical unity of all true Christians, the spirit of the age is working overtime. Originating in the spiritual world, Divide-and-Conquer strategies come in many forms. As if the Rapture could not be more controversial! Yet Rick Wiles has managed to intensify the controversy.

TruNews journalist Rick Wiles, with co-hosts Doc Burkhart and Edward Szall, have acquired a mighty stature and reputation in their daily passion for truth in news media.

If only this extended into eschatology! While they sincerely and deeply believe their rogue interpretations concerning the Rapture, hundreds of thousands of dedicated TruNews viewers are misled.

Rick Wiles’ ongoing bitterness and hatred for the Blessed Hope, the Rapture, is manifested in his yelling, “The Rapture belief is syphilitic! The Rapture is syphilitic!” A never-ending vitriolic and divisive stance imposed upon a vulnerable Christian public. In the Rapture, Jesus comes FOR His Saints, not appointed to Divine wrath as is the Christ-rejecting world! Following this, the task of evangelization for the 7-year Tribulation is given to 144,000 Jews – 12,000 from each tribe – the final week prophesied in Daniel’s 70-week prophecy!

While Wiles’ alleged non-existent Rapture vitriol emerges as a passion for truth, it is an unwitting one and a passion for spreading deception! It is an invitation to become an ally in the latest spirit-of-the-age heretical soup!

Wiles – a hard-hitting journalist, but neither theologian nor eschatologist – relentlessly hammers the Rapture belief he erroneously thinks originated with Darby and Scofield. Wiles goes on to say Darby was a Freemason and necromancer who uses Masonic New Age terms in his writings.

Thus, to him, all Dispensationalists who believe in the pre-Trib Rapture “must be Masons.” This is packaged in the same recurring speculations, when other speculations of the day have run out and these are needed as filler to keep plugging his heretical but extremely well-intentioned book, Final Day.

Let us say at the onset the beliefs of Darby and Scofield have been correctly addressed by guests on Prophecy Watchers with Dr. Gary Stearman. This YouTube channel is a treasure trove for Rapture apologetics! That is, of course, from the Dispensationalist and Protestant view.

Importantly Wiles, enthusiastic author of unwitting heresy, completely overlooks the history of the Rapture in traditional Catholicism. This view goes back centuries and has nothing at all to do with Scofield and Darby!

Even non-Catholic eschatologist Dr. Jack van Impe reiterated that St. Jerome emphasizes the Rapture in his Latin Vulgate Bible. This is many centuries before Darby and Scofield appear in the 1800’s. (While Dr. van Impe speculated on the revived Roman empire, almost as much as Rick Wiles speculates on other things, toward the end of his career van Impe did concur with other eschatologists that ten world regions were now underway.)

Catholic eschatologists have nothing to do with Darby and Scofield, who lived and published at a time when Catholics intensely condemned Freemasonry and necromancy! From 1738 to Malachi Martin’s revelation in his 1968 The Encounter that Masons were in the Vatican, Catholic authority steadily condemned Masonry (hence no acceptance or endorsement of the Masonic Darby). http://www.mediafire.com/file/1cva5x802branhp/Freemasonry_Condemned.pdf/file

Indeed, both Dr. Taylor Marshall in his recent book, Infiltration, and in the hard-hitting follow-up anti-Masonic writings of Catholic writer E. Michael Jones (Culturewars.com) Darby’s Masonry is powerfully debunked.

And while Judeo-Freemasonry began to deceive Catholic clergy into overtly becoming members, * starting in 1974, Catholic priests John Tombler and Hubert Funk were definitely not two of them.

This scholarly eschatological pair of priests were not two of them.

From the base of traditional Roman Catholic eschatology, they authored The Raptured, A Catholic View of the Latter Days and the Second Coming. This and the pro-Rapture stance of St. Thomas Aquinas, centuries before Darby, whose writings in Catholicism are second only to the Bible, are available as an immediate Free Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ypthxt6mn7vjwnw/The_Raptured_A_Catholic_View.pdf/file

Yes, St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) powerfully addressed and sanctioned the Rapture! “Thomas explored rapture in several texts and at various stages of his career. The De veritate treatment of rapture is particularly interesting, though, because it is situated in the midst of a series of questions about human cognition that consider matters of natural knowledge as well as prophecy, rapture, and faith.” (From the Free Download offered just above!)

Truly, St. Thomas Aquinas was not a Masonic necromancer bent on heresy and false doctrine. Quite the opposite! But Wiles, by his own admission on the TruNews 2020-02-26 broadcast, supports hardcore Communist Bernie Sanders! Catholic leader Michael Voris rigorously and importantly opposes the communist Sanders and you can see why here: https://www.churchmilitant.com/video/episode/vortex-the-red-scare

Meanwhile, what Rick Wiles fails to emphasize is that the syncretistic Freemason-backed Temple in Jerusalem is prophesied in the Book of Daniel. It will emerge. Satan has always desired to be worshiped as God and will indwell the Antichrist. When Rick Wiles gives this fact little attention, he is unwittingly following the outlook of rabbinical Judaism which unfairly diminishes and deprecates the stature of Daniel as prophet.

Nevertheless, we as believers became temples of the Holy Spirit! TruNews is absolutely right on that and we wholeheartedly concur! Most evangelical supporters of Israel do. The Temple in Jerusalem outlived its Divinely-intended Old Testament usefulness, as we believers in the New Covenant are now the temples of the Holy Spirit!

And as a plug for Church Remnant Power, this includes all individual Christian believers who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, regardless of their present denominations which may become increasingly infiltrated and apostate…

The Final Day greatly oversimplifies the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Our Lord is not merely just going to suddenly show up with the Final Judgment next on the list. So much must happen first! The prophesied years of Tribulation have nothing to do with the necromancing Darby!

Rather, this is the final week prophesied by Daniel, where the task of evangelization is returned to the Jews, while the True Church is not appointed unto wrath. The Book of Revelation, the Apocalypse, is a time of Divine and pure judgment upon a Christ-rejecting world. The Bridegroom is coming for His Bride!

As it was in the days of Noah, as it was in the days of Lot, there were the favored and non-rebellious minority not slated for pure and Divine judgment.

Following the Rapture, 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each tribe, will be evangelizing globally, giving positive resistance to the “synagogue of Satan” who claim they are Jews but are not. This latter group is the New World Order globalist elite who will support the deification of the Antichrist for political purposes (often done with world leaders in the 20th century).

To skim over this Divinely-allotted time for the 144,000 Jews as evangelists is, truly, Scriptural antisemitism.

Also in this time of Tribulation, Moses and Elijah will appear daily as witnesses (symbolic of the Law and the Prophets). Such things will be proclaimed to Temple goers as, “I am Moses but you are still keeping the Mosaic Law. No! Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets! I Moses testify of this New Covenant!” Recall how Moses and Elijah appeared with Christ at the Transfiguration.

So for the perhaps hundreds of thousands misled to believe The Final Day is Gospel truth, with this article you have now had your First Day of eschatological truth. The Rapture did not start with Darby and Scofield. Check out the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas. The highly singular scholar would agree with Perry Stone on the Rapture today, set forth in especially the last half of this video at the 1:02:14 mark:

  • * Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Villot, upon his retirement in 1967, was congratulated by the Parisian Lodge – also known as the Jewish Lodge – for subjugating the traditional papal role of ruling on faith and morals, to the advancement and propagation of Masonic policies, including the syncretistic efforts now underway to unite rabbinical Judaism, liberal Catholicism and Islam. The Rev. John Tombler and Rev. Hubert Funk expose this in the Free Download above.

Pope Benedict XVI gave a Papal Blessing to my writings in November 2008. As a Catholic Press Association member of 500 worldwide, I am the author of numerous books and articles, including a several-book series for a Catholic college of the arts. My great uncle, Cardinal Volk of Hamburg, cast the deciding conclave vote for Pope John Paul I. As a positive conservative activist of the 1960s, an activism which recently surfaced in my retirement, I was on the ground floor of Ralph Martin's Catholic Charismatic Movement. A former research correspondent of Malachi Martin, I was invited to his New York residence in the early 1990s, to soon receive a handwritten note from him in a hospital recovery room telling of a recent heart attack. Over the decades, I've gained much firsthand experience with separated-brethren Protestants, Pentecostals and Messianic Jews - especially those who, though fragmented, all refuse the Masonic-crafted syncretistic world religious body needed for draconian world government.
