Christian Music Composer and Performer Larry Norman led more young people to Jesus Christ than you or I could ever hope to achieve! Sanctioned by Billy Graham, his music, without question, had a Specialty Anointing to reach and communicate with American youth, while other avenues failed miserably!

One evening, Larry Norman was performing on a stage in L.A. During his song repertoire, someone came up behind him and said, “I like your music, kid!” Norman turned around. It was Paul McCartney. That day, through Norman’s music, the Holy Spirit touched even the soul of Beatle Paul McCartney!

Larry Norman (1947 – 2008), a pioneer of Christian rock, with Pamela, his wife of three months, in London, 20th March 1972. They are both making the ‘one way’ pointing gesture which alludes to their faith, and their involvement with Jesus Christ! I’ll never forget one day I stopped into a church in Berlin. The famous pastor there, Dr. Volkhard Spitzer, knew me from an earlier music project I’d done for them. He was just back from the USA, where he appeared on major Christian programs including Schuller’s HOUR OF POWER, Pat Robertson’s 700 Club and many more! When he saw me in his church he came up to me and said, “Why should the Devil have all the good music?” You can imagine my pleasant shock when this powerful German pastor – who had 25 healings PER WEEK in his Sunday services – greeted me with the lyrical words of Larry Norman! As a former rock musician myself and a Christian all my adult life, what can I say about Larry Norman? Well, the Minor Prophets – called so not because they were insignificant, but as related to the volume of their writings, smaller than the major prophets – always communicated where the people were at! In terms of their present culture! This is the best form of communication. And this is what Larry Norman did! He communicated with music and lyrics his generation easily understood.
