Remembering Keith Green
You’ve occasionally heard it said, “The public has a short memory.” Sometimes it is advantageous to do so. But other times, to keep our Christian culture strong – indeed, our very souls robust and virile – we need to remember those Christian artists who breathed and exuded the very air of timelessness. Indeed, of Eternity!
Keith Green was one such piano-playing Christian artist who radiated creativity as it was meant to be created! A brief 40 years after his untimely quick death, I find a eulogy for his musical creations nowhere in sight. They are timeless because their Christian themes are timeless!
Just weeks before the death in his airplane, leased for engagements, I was in a Christian music store listening to his latest CDs. I still remember the excitement of his unique creations! I was in no hurry to leave the store. A bond had quickly formed and I knew it wasn’t going to go away.

Obsessively involved in the 1960s and 1970s with music on TV and radio myself, I could see that influence building – as creativity should – with the ongoing creations of Keith Green! I wrote and recorded my first song at age 14; but he started at age 10 and had a recording contract with Decca Records already at age 11! Young and talented Keith Green appeared on the following B & W TV show at age 11. What a way to remember! See him playing at age 11 starting at the 5:18 time mark on this video! (Please click photo!)
This was the way to write and perform music! Today the process is much rarer, thanks to the de-humanizing aspect of digitally writing and recording music. But then as we both knew, you captured the mood of a situation (soon expressed as a wonderful lyric) to the melody, then worked the music to fit the mood of the melody with lots of appropriate embellishments and innovations! (And not produce digital music first, then try to work a lyric into it. No! It had to come from the spirit and soul first, from experience, and the musical elements were arranged around and through it!)
That’s what I did when I wrote my first song in 1967! It was quite a surprise to me, 40 years later, when I was notified this first song got us into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame! Truly, as Keith Green would authoritatively admit, these are the little products of musical gifts given by God, ultimately for service to glorify Him! May all who read this continue to be Good and Responsible Stewards of their Musical Gifts today!

In view of the resurrected Jerusalem Temple – and the final bogus Messiah to inhabit it, popularly known as the draconian Antichrist – we must now call attention to the person so frequently mentioned in the Old Testament as The Angel of the Lord….
In the Old Testament, Jehovah, the Lord, revealed himself at different times in the garb of an angel and generally in the form of man. This Angel of the Lord is not a messenger sent from God, but a theophany, a manifestation of Deity.
Jehovah, the “I Am,” is the Son of God. We have, therefore, in the repeated appearances of the Angel of the Lord very interesting pre-incarnation manifestations of the Son of God, our Lord. In each case of the manifestation of this Angel of the Lord, the marks of Deity are present.
The ancient Jews in their traditions regarded the Angel of the Lord, in every instance, not as an ordinary angel, but as the only mediator between God and the world, the author of all revelations, to whom they gave the name Metatron. They called him “the angel of the countenance (Isaiah 63:9).
The very ancient Midrash known as Otiot de Rabbi Akiba makes this declaration about the Angel of the Lord: “The Metatron is the angel, the prince of the face, the prince of the law, the prince of wisom, the prince of strength, the prince of glory, the prince of the temple, the prince of the kings, the prince of the rulers and of the high and exalted.”
“The prince of the Temple.” This is in no way a reference to the Satanic-indwelt Antichrist who will appear as the prince of the Temple. It is Grace before Judgment to know this and act accordingly. True believers are now the temples of the Holy Spirit and will remain so!
But just as the true Metatron is offended, when the Isaiah-prophesied Agreement with Sheol is signed – giving the Antichrist control of Ha Eretz, the Land of Israel, a distinction the Creator wanted following His restoration of Israel prophesied in Ezekiel 36 – the true Metatron is offended, again, when the Antichrist usurps the role of and lies about being “the prince of the Temple” and breaks the prophesied treaty at the 3 1/2 year mark into the Tribulation!
But even despite all these nearly-unforgivable insults to the true Metatron, the Angel of the Lord will still see many of the Chosen safely into Petra, while giving potential enemies their own “Petra” in Jordan also: it appears as a deterrent from the true Jews fleeing quickly into Petra:

There you go. Once the world leader, the prophesied Antichrist, is discovered for who he is by breaking the treaty and deifying himself in the Temple, a select group of Muslims will act as decoys as they flee the Antichrist, while the Chosen flee to Petra to enjoy their 3 1/2 year holiday – and to not be surprised if the Angel of the Lord (the True Metatron) is walking among them….

King of the Universe
During our unusually excellent Passover Seder, the words “King of the Universe” were repeated several times. Curiously, the more I heard them, the more I wanted to hear them!
What can be more literal and more poetic, alluding to the Sovereignty of God, than those glorious and awesome words, “King of the Universe.”
Over the years, I’ve grown increasingly fond of the name “I Am.” What tremendous, tremendous security and freedom is found in that Name, “I Am,” in Heaven for all Eternity! (No trading our freedom for security there! In Heaven, we have 100% of both, forever!)
Truly, “King of the Universe” radiates a complete, thorough and unfragmented Royal Control. How very, very nice! And to think the “King of the Universe” will one day rule and reign from David’s Throne, on our little planet; so tiny and infinitesimal among, what some scientists believe, could be up to a trillion planets in our universe!
And Israel, too, is so very, very small. And yet a major location in eschatology spanning many centuries. Just as a remote star appears briefly over a passing cloud, over the Negev at midnight, we will remember, millions of years into our eternal future, the then remote star of the Israel which foretold the true messiah; through an inspired and insightful treasure trove of writings and profound thoughts!
“King of the Universe.” One can only ask, “Does that still hold true for our 21st century – with its technocratic innovations and billion-dollar projects of secret physics?” Absolutely. No question. There is nothing new under the sun. The Watchers Enoch wrote about merely revealed to naturalist scientists, through recent decades, the scientific principles they knew when first arriving on earth, before spawning the nephilim. along with their keen analysis of the human condition. This ranges from their determination to destroy the pineal gland in every human, to occult physics of craftes set to canvas by human artists for many centuries.,
Very soon, to obscure the true meaning of the Rapture – when tens of millions of the Bride are snatched from the earth by the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ – Lucifer (which means “radiant brilliance””) and his Watcher minions go into action with a lying cover and smokescreen. Rebellion reaches its apex as Project Blue Beam plays its part to appear as “hostile aliens,” abducting tens of millions around the globe! And only a centralized world government must be urgently in place to deal with this borderless concern!
Of course, it’s a smokescreen and a lie. A global “management-by-crisis” draconian agenda to ensnare the remaining earth inhabitants. But even while Satan and his final bogus messiah, the Antichrist, struggles to and never completely controls this one little planet, Jesus Christ – Yeshua Ha Mashiach – remains King of the Universe! And He will still be King of the Universe seven years later, when He returns to Jerusalem to rule and reign from David’s Throne.

Today, the best of Christians can unwittingly be involved in their own attempts to Cancel Culture. Even the easily-routine reverent Sunday thoughts of the 1950s and 1960s were incrementally invaded by a liberalism that went largely unrecognized. Now we’re at the point where the twisted fruits of this incrementalism seem normal for Sundays. But things were not always this way.
As we welcome Philippians 4:8 to deeply saturate our souls, we find it one of the best and most ready defenses against the tainting and despoiling spirit of the age. We must always be on our guard to not let the “liberty in verbal licentious” flesh of well-meaning pastors minister to our flesh, but to counter their unintended attempts by ministering back in the Spirit. This transcendence should be a hallowed narrative, especially when the Holy Spirit Presence is Powerfully Present!
Yes, when the Precious Holy Spirit comes into our midst, we ignore Him to our peril, when rigidly adhering to other – and often lower – pre-planned agendas. An often unwitting element of liberalism often accomplishes this and Satan smiles every time. Especially on Sundays, the prototype for the rest of the week, we’re to pleasantly keep ourselves and others on Higher Ground. Yet all too often we are deceived by “logic” to do otherwise.
How other worldly the Sundays of decades past must seem! How normal it seems, all too often, to have an unwitting liberal element always present in Sunday gatherings. It shows how little we truly fear God today, and how much we have forgotten to keep Philippians 4:8 paramount (rather than impervious). It is just plain dumb and even vulgar to do otherwise. Until we regain the Sunday treasures of the past, we continue an unwitting and downhill slide – as Satan enjoys nothing better than seeing Christians cancel their culture, destroying western civilization in ways unrecognizable.
One can only quote a famous Christian author of the 19th century who proclaimed, “All liberalism is sin.” Yes, all liberalism, in thought, word and deed. All liberal-tainted interpretations and conveyances of Scripture. All liberalism unseen but which nevertheless grieves the Holy Spirit. This will ultimately cause divisions – liberalism in churches always does – and it remains safest to reserve certain things for weekday studies, if admitted at all. There is Strength in Purity which includes Purity in Speech. Philippians 4:8 says it all!
